U recommend Lemmon juice in water throughout day? Do u suggest a tea spoon of apple cider vinegar too?
Hi Stan,
I only recommend lemon juice for low citrate or a lower pH. A 24 hour urine collection will let you know if you need it. There is an ACV show on my YouTube channel found here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KnTaZdRn_SA
The concept of the site or podcast drew me. I need this information. I don’t need the banter about useless stuff. I don’t need, “How much oxalate can be in a piece of bread? I don’t know, 5…”. I went to the site because I thought you would know. I am going to make my own bead. Do I use whole wheat flour, rye, or something else? I may be overcritical because hunting for the information I need is so frustrating, but it is information and guidance I need for a knowledgable source. In 3 minutes of listening, that was shot. I wish not and I may have it all wrong, but I am just relating my experience.
Hi Tom,
The point is to say that people worry about oxalate too much when stone disease is much more about the other goals for the kidney stone diet. If you look at the Harvard oxalate list we use you will see the flours and oxalate listed in some. There is only so much flour in a piece of bread. The real issue is when people over eat the highest oxalate foods like spinach and almonds and don’t get their calcium needs met each day which is what I say in the video. I also have videos discussing the conflicting info on oxalate and how it it extremely frustrating. As far as the “useless banter” one can always fast forward. We do appreciate your feed back. Thanks,
Jill
