One of my favorite Kidney Stone Diet safe snacks is popcorn. However, store-bought popcorn tends to be too salty and caloric—I say caloric because who on earth can only eat the listed serving size?!? Not me. To remedy this, I’ve create my own popcorn seasoning I think you’ll like.
Zero-Sodium Dill Pickle Popcorn Seasoning recipe.
Powder Portion of Recipe

- Four teaspoons of dried dill
- One teaspoon of dried parsley

First, I got a spray bottle* and added a few tablespoons of Rice Wine vinegar*. The trick is lightly spraying your popcorn so you don’t get the kernels too wet.
Then, I sprinkle the dill pickle powder on top of the popcorn and mix it up. You can also skip the vinegar part if you like—sometimes I do.
I typically make my popcorn on the stove so that I am eating no salt popcorn. You can make your own on the stovetop or use low-sodium store-bought popcorn and add the dill pickle recipe. You do you!
I picked up the cute spice jars with labels and a funnel here* and they make great gifts for people too! Make sure you fill them with all of my free Salt-Free Seasonings found here.
